The
majority of the images are postcards, heavily soiled and faded from years of
handling and recent storage in a cold shed. Most were taken in Ellsinore,
Carter County, Missouri between 1900 and 1925; a few are from Dent County and
St. Louis, Missouri and may date as late as the 1930's. Subjects are
primarily members of the Hilterbrand, Dabney and Ballard families of Ellsinore
and Bunker, Missouri.
