Private David Webb : Webb, age 54, born Fairfield County, Connecticut, was described as standing 5’ 11” tall, with grey eyes, grey hair, and a fair complexion, by occupation a Taylor (sic), when he was enlisted to 17th Regiment United States Infantry Regulars (Captain Harris H. Hickman’s Company), on 20 June 1814.  He was enrolled by Lieutenant Lee at Chillicothe, Ohio for the duration of the war.  He also served as Sergeant in Captain Featherston’s Company, (same regiment).  He applied for and received a bounty land warrant (7226) on 6 January 1819, for 160 acres located in Hancock County, Illinois.

Private Darius Webb :  Webb, age 26, born New York, was described as standing 6’ tall, with dark eyes, dark hair, a fair complexion, and by occupation a carpenter, when he enlisted on 10 May 1814 to the 8th Regiment United States Infantry Regulars (Major P. Cooks Detachment?). He was enrolled by Captain Cramford at Monticello, (New York?) for a period of five years or the duration of the war.  He is reported to have deserted 6 October 1814 from Fort Hawkins, and on a roll dated 16 February 1815, listed as absent.
