Private Samuel Annis : Annis, enlisted 1 August 1861 and was discharged 1 August 1864. He applied for a pension 26 July 1890 (invalid833263/572406), died 28 September 1917 at Willoughby, Ohio and his widow subsequently applied for a pension 6 October 1917 (widow1108266/834737).

 

Private James K. (H.) Arnold : Arnold, enlisted 1 April 1862 into Company D, 7th Regiment Michigan Infantry Volunteers, was wounded 1 August 1862 at Malvern Hill, Virginia and mustered out 28 October 1862. He subsequently enrolled in the 6th Regiment US Cavalry Regulars, and his mother applied for a pension 24 January 1870 (mother183621).

 

Private Philip A Bunn (aka Peter Banker) : Bunn, after serving in the 6th Regiment US Cavalry, enlisted and was mustered 31 August 1864 at Hector, New York into Company F, 1st Regiment New York Veteran Cavalry and was discharged 7 June 1865 at Camp Piatt, West Virginia. He also served in Company H, 3rd US Artillery. He applied for an invalid pension, 16 May 1892 (invalid1111053/917171).

 

Private George B. Bartlett : Bartlett’s father applied for a pension 6 December 1872 (father206704).

 

Bugler Marcus B. Bartlett : Bartlett, age 15, enlisted 3 August 1861 into an unknown unit, transferred to Company B, 6th Regiment US Cavalry, was discharged 3 August 1864 by reason of expiration of term of service, subsequently enlisted 30 March 1865 into Company K, 18th Regiment Ohio Infantry and mustered out 9 October 1865. He applied for a pension 2 October 1890 (invalid934044/673973), died 28 October 1912 at California, and his widow applied for a pension, 7 October 1916 (widow1077551/831556).

 

Private Andrew J. Brock (aka Harold B. Brock) : Brock, age 18, enlisted 23 May 1861 into Company H, 1st Regiment Minnesota Infantry Volunteers, transferred out 24 October 1862, and mustered in 28 October 1862 to Company B, 6th Regiment US Cavalry Regulars. After his discharge he enlisted 4 February 1865 into Company E, 1st Regiment Minnesota Heavy Artillery and was mustered out 27 September 1865. Brock subsequently applied for a pension 2 April 1885 (invalid536470/529954) and died 27 March 1919 at Grand Rapids, Minnesota.

 

Private Henry Grieble : Griebel enlisted 13 August 1861 and discharged 13 August 1864. He applied for a pension in 1890 (invalid152705/822013).

 

Corporal Lyman L. Jones : Jones enlisted 17 July 1861, discharged 17 July 1864 and applied for a pension 10 November 1879 (invalid322292/340746). He died 23 January 1919 at Coshocton, Ohio and his widow applied for a pension 15 February 1919 (widow1136188/867962).

 

Sergeant Willian Lepper : Lepper enlisted 7 August 1861, was discharged 10 August 1863, although he applied for a pension 6 May 1863 (invalid21400/39464). His widow applied for a pension 21 September 1916 (widow1074812/845525).

 

Sergeant George W. Orby : Orby enlisted 7 August 1861, was discharged 10 August 1863 and applied for a pension 24 June 1890 (invalid783621/797422). He died 7 February 1915 at Cleveland, Ohio and his widow applied for a pension 18 February 1915 (widow1041892/789275).

 

Private Edward E. Pelton : Pelton enlisted 18 September 1861 from Meriden, Connecticut, mustered in 23 September 1861 to Company K, 8th regiment Connecticut Infantry Volunteers. He was wounded in the thigh, 17 September 1862, at Antietam, discharged 4 April 1863 and later joined Company B, 6th Regiment US Cavalry. Pelton applied for a pension 5 January 1877 (invalid229465/152277) and died 24 September 1924 at Norton Heights, Connecticut.

 

Private William Pike : Pike enlisted 18 January 1862. He applied for a pension 26 January 1894 (invalid595092/582360), died 16 October 1915 at Washington, DC after which his widow applied for a pension 15 October 1915 (widow1054824/803197).

 

Private Franklin Porter : Porter enlisted 21 April 1861, was mustered in 21 April 1861 to Company B, 3rd Regiment Wisconsin Infantry Volunteers and discharged 25 October 1862. He joined Company B, 6th Regiment US Cavalry and served with that unit until transferring to another regiment. He enlisted 13 September 1864, and mustered into Company K, 4th Regiment Massachusetts Cavalry, promoted to Corporal 9 October 1864 and discharged 22 May 1865 at Richmond, Virginia. Porter applied for a pension 26 April 1888 (invalid652780/875046) and died 18 June 1920 at Kelseyville, California.

 

Corporal William H. Schmith : Schmith enlisted 18 July 1861 and was discharged 19 July 1864. He applied for a pension 5 August 1864 (invalid81451/67834), died 18 February 1923 at Columbus, Ohio after which his wife applied for a pension 2 March 1923 (widow1201784/931672).

 

Sergeant Martin Schwenk (aka Martin George) : Schwenk, also a veteran of service in Company E, US Artillery (regiment unknown), enlisted 6 January 1862, was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor (by act of Congress 17 April 1916) for his heroism 10 July 1863 at Millerstown, Pennsylvania and discharged 6 January 1865. He applied for a pension 30 June 1880 (invalid399927/296923) and died 20 June 1924 at Washington, DC.

 

Private Edmund Short : Short enlisted 30 July 1861 and was discharged 14 August 1862. He applied for a pension 15 February 1882 (invalid440242/460540) and died 25 July 1903 at Midland, Michigan.

 

Private Henry Skiff : Skiff enlisted 26 July 1861, served in Companies A, B and F, 6th Regiment US Cavalry, and was discharged 14 November 1864.

 

Private Eli Staley : Staley enlisted 7 June 1861 and mustered in to Company F, 8th Regiment Ohio Infantry Volunteers, was discharged 22 October 1862 and transferred to Company B, 6th Regiment US Cavalry. He applied for a pension 12 April 1887 (invalid605903/559375), died 9 November 1924 at Fort Seneca, Ohio and his widow applied for a pension 29 November 1824 (widow12226138/956280). Staley was captured along with none others, including Lester Webb, on 14 February 1863 at Richard’s Ford, Virginia.

 

Private James Stroup : Stroup, who may have served in Company H, 37th Regiment Pennsylvania Infantry, enlisted 28 October 1862, was discharged 19 May 1866 (invalid108506/163743). After his death his widow applied for a pension 23 July 1918 (widow115746/847034).

 

Private Moses A Swift : Swift enlisted 10 August 1861 and was discharged 11 August 1864. He applied for a pension 24 March 1890 and after his death, his widow applied for a pension 27 January 1925 (widow1200008/937163).

 

Private Nelson H. Turner : Turner enlisted 22 April 1861 and mustered in to Company H, 3rd regiment Wisconsin Infantry and deserted 25 October 1862. He enlisted 28 October 1862 and mustered in to Company B, 6th Regiment US Cavalry. Turner applied fo a pension 26 March 1888 (invalid647176/661465) and after his death, his widow applied for a pension 25 May 1912 (widow987447/744210).

Private William K. Wilson : Wilson, may have served with Company H, 7th Regiment Ohio Infantry, enlisted 12 August 1861 and discharged 12 August 1864. He applied for a pension 28 July 1887 (invalid617511/73343) and after his death his widow applied for a pension 16 December 1912 (widow998209/756579).
